The Gold Rush Chapter of Trout Unlimited, Dahlonega, Georgia is pleased to announce their sponsorship of the 2nd annual “Gold Rush Cup, Fly Fishing Challenge”. You are invited to attend or to participate in this fly fishing event to be hosted by Frog Hollow on the beautiful and picturesque waters of the Chestatee River in Dahlonega Georgia. Registration

Attendance
Attendance and parking is free and open to the public, with fly casting, fly tying and rod building demonstrations being provided by Gold Rush Chapter members and sponsors. Food and drink will be available for purchase.
Sponsors
Teams are encouraged to have a team sponsor. This is in effort to help promote businesses and help defray the cost of the entry fee. We are also accepting event sponsors. Event sponsors will receive a table and business hyperlink to and from Gold Cup Challenge website. Corporate/commercial sponsor cost is $50.00. Participants
The challenge this year is a two day event which will permit two person teams to match their skills against other fly fisherman, to earn the 2010 The Gold Cup title, a $1,500 grand prize, plus two, quality, custom made fly rods.
Team awards will be given on both days for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place and Best Angler Award for most total inches by one individual.
On each day, a maximum of 10, two person teams will be permitted; a minimum of 5, two person teams must be registered for the event to take place.
A non-refundable registration and entry fee for each team is required.
In the event an insufficient number of participants register for this event, all funds for individuals and or business will be returned.
A kick-off dinner will be hosted at Frog Hollow on the Friday evening before the Challenge begins at 6:00 p.m.
A participant captain’s meeting will also be held at Frog Hollow on Friday evening prior to the tournament.
This is a two-day two-person team event and will be conducted according to Gold Rush Tournament Committee member rules and regulations.
All proceeds from this event will go to Gold Rush Chapter Trout Unlimited, a 501 (C)(3), non-profit organization.
The Gold Cup Challenge is a yearly fund raising event. The goal of the Challenge Committee was to coordinate an event with a prestigious award with the benefits and intent to promote, educate and inform the public about the joy of fly fishing and Trout Unlimited and their mission.
